Boo-f*cking-hoo - she couldn't keep her fur coat. I have no sympathy whatsoever for Ruth Madoff. Someone needs to throw her ass in jail too.

Were it not for one personality flaw of the psychopath -- a sense that he could not be caught -- Madoff might still be on the prowl. Along with his inability to raise the cash to cover a crush of withdrawal requests, this psychopathic trait ultimately contributed to the end his crime spree.

But as far as I can tell, nobody knows where all the money went or whether Madoff's victims will get back their money.

Tell what matters in life to the pirate's wife. A damn fur coat. I would have told her to fork over all possessions she has.. and auction them off. Not a dime gets back to her until all victims have been repaid. She's a wolf in sheeps clothing. Somehow she slips under the watchful feds radar. Give me a freakin break.

She's a dumbass...If she wanted to keep the fur coat she should have hid it in storage or something. Why didn't she think that the feds weren't going to take all her stuff? She better lay low for awhile a then go get some of that hidden money a little bit at a time.

This guy was really stupid. He should have quit while he was still on top and fled and gotten another identity. He could be somewhere like Costa Rica livin' large instead of going through all this now.

Glad to hear that Madoff's wife was told to leave her possessions behind, she probably has a stash hidden!! How can only the senior madoff be given punishment for a crime that was probably known by family and other employees. He caused suicides and break-downs of investors. Not by greedy people but trusting people who were investing money for their retirement. The madoffs are despicable thieves!!! The miserable smirks will be gone from their faces now...150 years shows some justice, if he plans an appeal, will he have a pro-bono lawyer appointed by the court, or will $$$$$$$$ suddenly appear for the appeal process!!! Hopefully, this time money walks...not madoff!

The FEDERAL Government is more rotten and fu-cking corrupt then Madoff could ever be.

Your rights don't mean anything.

You invest money and lose it that is your problem. Beware.

The Government takes your money and loses it everyday.

Where is that stimulus money? 787 billion? I didn't see a dime of it
DID you?

she should be ashamed to ask for the coat made of dead animals just for her pleasure...maybe we should make a coat out of her and her family.

Come on. She was given prior notice that she needed to pack up and go. Asking for that coat is nothing but a "Pity Ploy." She has more than just that one coat. She has millions and she is able to buy as many coats as she wants...even that exact same one. She needs to go where she would not need an expensive fur...To Prison.

OH NO!! She will not have her multi-million dollar home? No fur coats? No chauffeur? How will she be able to live? Maybe, just maybe she was completely unaware of what her dirtbag husband was doing, but I truly doubt it. She needs to try living on less than $30,000 a year, she will still have more money than so many of those people her husband ripped off. I think her husband needs to live in Central Park for one year, then go live with "Bubba the Booty Bandit" in jail for the rest of his live and squeal like a pig every night.

Shame on her, she should have left without being asked. When she saw the many victims of her crocked heartless husband who lost the shirt off their back.....suicides, elderly ones moving in with their struggling children, some that can barely walk looking for employment....just to survive. She should strip off the clothing on her back leave them with the penthouse and walk away as naked as the day she was born and walk down to skid row and claim her space. Nothing in her husband or her name belong to them, it is ALL the property of those trusting victims. I hope the authorities DO THE RIGHT THING and strip all of those connected to the Madoff's of EVERYTHING they cannot prove they earned legimately.

She wanted to stay. Can't find another home. Guess that will be hard on the 2.5 million she is keeping. Guess she will have to eat off the Mickey Dee's 1.00 value menu or eat ram en noodles every night. I doubt it.
Take all her money and let her live with her children. Just like all Bernie's investors will. She is not a victim. She knew what was happening, if she maintains that she didn't know, then she is lying to herself like all those women who know their husband is having an affair.
They don't want to rock the boat because they like living off other people's money. That is really what it was, sheer greed, and lack of morals. She should strap a mattress to her back until every dime is paid back. She knows what she did, and what she didn't do.

There are many innocent wives who are suffering losses and catastrophe in their lives due to their husband's investments with Madoff. Why should Ruth be immune from her husband's actions which paid for their decades of lavish lifestyle. Not much sympathy.

Madoff's wife enjoyed amenities as well so she should receive similar consequences. She knew what was going on all along, and her husband assured her he would take the fall if he was ever caught. I am glad the government will pay back losses to his clients after the sale of the house. Whenever, I get discouraged about what just happened with the stock market, I remember Madoff's clients were more unfortunate than I. This story is an example that life is not fair to victims of such a selfish man.
