Finally let's not forget Congress...Congress is always the reason the Congress proposes all spending, the President only approves or Vetos.

Then there is the american people who keep approving of a wasteful government.

Mountain of Debt- "May Be" the next crisis! Why do you report "May Be"? Why not report FACT? Reporters are suppose to report FACT and not May Be. Guess you just want to drive the market down. Take your degree back to the school that you got it at and see if they will refund your money.

First of all... this is another (AP) story. They don't report true facts... just the "facts" they want us to hear. Why has the "Federal Reserve" never been audited? Why can no one "audit" Fort Knox for that matter? We need an independent, honest, by the people audit of the whole system. Problem is, the Money Masters have made the system so complex, that it will take a revolution to sort it out.

A reasonable summary but doesn't tell us what we don't already "know" (supposing that the government is telling the truth). But we have known this for years and no one wants to address the problem. As a matter of fact, a scant 170 days ago, the american public voted into office a government with a socialistic philosophy destined to take on additional government spending and additional debt. you should all watch IOUSA, which is a documentary explaining how this mountainous debt came about throughout history...one thing I found most interesting is despite any spending by the government, the fact is, there is a negative savings rate in this country...meaning we spend more than we earn...that is something we control...also the massive transfer of wealth to China which will eventually give them massive economic power over the US. because they own so much of our debt...we need to make stuff again, and have more net exports

The "stimulus" plan was nothing more than a welfare bill. Welfare does not have any benefit on the economy whatsoever. That's why it isn't working. Obama basically flushed almost $800 billion down the toilet for us.

The one thing that makes it look worse is that finally the Obama team put the war effort on the budget instead of the previous classification of the effort as "off budget".
