How do we step up to help those overseas. Maybe we can for a while longer, but I have a feeling it won't be for long.
We will have nobody with jobs in this country, we will need those resources ourselves. I feel like our backs are so heavy, not only are we struggling to help ourselves, we have to pay for other countries too,
WE must get healthy before we can help others. Now it's like the weak helping the weak, and eventually both will die.

I am so tired of helping everybody. When Ike came through my area (over 100 miles West of the Texas Gulf Coast) there wasn't all that much help here. People were in line for Water and Ice and MRE's. None had the smarts to stock up on canned food and Water (froze Kool aid and water). Plenty of Propane to cook....

Ike took out 2 vehicles, Insurance barely covered the pay off. SBA and FEMA couldn't care less - my income was to high to be considered for help. 3 weeks NO INCOME, bills due - we survived and bought a new used car. We lost 1 income thanks to my Company not reopening after IKE. Right now I am prepared for the next Storm.

Tired of hearing how bad New Orleans has it, look at Galveston - they look fantanstic. Don't know about you - I just have no more helping the weaker in me..........they don't appreciate it - they just want more and more
