The Montauk Monster 2.0

by Mike Krumboltz

Just when you thought it was safe to take a romantic walk along the beach, another Montauk Monster washes up on the shores of Long Island.

Another, you say? Yes: Last year, the original Monster caused a huge stir across the Web. Nobody knew what it was, but reports indicated it was big, bloated, beaked, and rather gross-looking. Naturally, onlookers couldn't turn away then,… » Full Story on Yahoo! Buzz Log

Get for real. Ever heard of DNA testing? Why not use it?

From the pictures, common sense dictates that this corpse obviously doesn't come from or live in water. Someone has dumped a pig carcass and trying to make headlines. Gads ... get a life!

I love it how new reports have "Hot Views" instead of bringing us the view of what they're talking. I work hard and only have time to see s*** thats right there in fromt of me. Now I have to fall under those people whom wasted precious time in researching for that silly thing that probably wont be that interesting after 5 seconds. I'm glad to see some college kid put the media on blast on how inaccurate and lazy they are by rushing to Wikepedia.

It seems that the recession has hit people of Long Island and they cannot afford to feed their beloved pitbull or boxer. So they kill it or drop it off a mile or two offshore and let the poor pooch drown and wash up on the beach.

Has Michael Vick been released and now live on Long Island? or is it a new breed of animal cruelty?

Folks if ya cannot take care of your pooch, bring it to a shelter. At least they will spay or neuter the critter and adopt it off.

death. (Global warming, not the species).

The latest looks reminds me of a bulldog and turkey combined. The first one looks like a pig and turkey combined. Boose and Joseph, your so right, this animal testing and it's wrong. They're mixing DNA to see if it can be done. And they're not pleased yet, next it's babies. They say that "we're doing it for the best", but this is taking tecnolgey to far. This should be stoped!!! One washed up last year in New London, CT on Ocean Beach. Many here speculate its an experiment from Plum Island.

I'm pretty sure those are dogs that are missing the skin on the muzzle. The fur has sloughed off because they were floating in the water. There is still the remnants of some fur on at least one. They're bloated and partly rotten. That's all. It's not DNA testing. If it was they would incinerate the things, not dump them in the water so they can wash ashore.

Poor drowned dogs. That's what I think. Worse, I think some sick-o is going to be drowning dogs to keep the gag running. I can pretty easily see the dog in both of them, despite the bloated blue carcass.
