Strassel: Democrats Hoodwink the Health Lobby

You would think that corporate leaders learned nothing from TARP or the help given to GM and Chrysler. The reality is that they are scared that they cannot avoid the acts of the government and hope to be the last to be executed. Sad we have very few heros among the top business leaders who will risk their cushy positions. The bigger the paycheck, the bigger the coward.

I don't understand why the healthcare providers, corperations, insurance companies needs are being entertained by our elected officials. Life liberty and the pursuit of happiness constitutes the needs of the individual not the corperations and those who disregard their failure. They refuse us life liberty and the pursuit of happiness. half of the individual backruptcies in th US are do to healthcare provider deficiencies. It is because of we hard working americans that they even exist. They were created to help us and instead have profiteered with there golden parachutes and yearly bonuses. Now we have huge hospitals and insurance towers that are empty but we are going to pay for them for decades.

I know they can be replaced by streamlined nonprofits. I know that the government stepping in and creating a competitive market is the right thing. Please look at some of the leaps and bounds some of the non profit hospitals have made. We need our elected officials to step off their high horses and get down here with the rest of us. We should take their healthcare away and let them try to live in the pursuit of happiness in the aftermath. They are definately replaceable.
