(CNSNews.com) – The Group of Eight summit closed on Friday with President Barack Obama and other leaders backing sweeping commitments to developing nations but leaving many details blank. The tradition of G8 leaders issuing broad declarations on global issues such as poverty, debt, and AIDS precedes Obama. However, this year, the president made one such declaration personal, saying that he pushed for a $20-billion commitment to fighting hunger in Africa because his Kenyan relatives lived in poor villages.

I think Country Gurl is right our country is dying a slow death.. And it's not all Obama's fault ! It is because not enough voters went out and voted !!!!! Obama got in because there were so many people thought he would not !!!! The thought he was a joke.... Well he is, but it's too late now... He is selling this country down the road.

XXXXXX--- You are right, it isn't all Obama's fault. The min. wage raise was voted on before he was elected and after the Dems took over Congress so that means this country is dying a slow death because of the Democrats mentality. Their ideology is killing the country. Again, no surprise really.

100 years from now "stimulus" will refer to something expensive and useless. Example: your friend buys a pet rock for $5,000. You would say "Why did you buy that stimulus".

You're right its not Obama's fault. It doesn't take a genius to know politics. Our government is HUGE and each one gets paid too much. We are spending billions on a foreign war that isn't helping us in the least and these bailouts are going to corporate executives.

More than half the people in our country are in debt. Business slows because people can't afford to buy goods. Eventually businesses cut jobs and go bankrupt. There is your next great depression.

Yes, lets spend billions more to fight hunger in Africa when we can't even fix our own problems. Good idea leaders.

Blaming this condition on lack of voters is probably the most uneducated thing I have heard in years. These problems would still be here regardless of who got into office. They are all corrupt and only serve THEIR best interest. Its a lose-lose situation for all.

Why not fire obama and both houses of congress, why does it always have to be the working people at the bottom of the ladder? Why not get rid of the goldbrickers at the top? Chances are, that these people have never had to work for anything, and therefore do not know what it's like to struggle to make ends meet. I realize there might be an exception to this, but it is few and far between. When it comes to cutting waste, START AT THE TOP, NOT THE BOTTOM!

All i know is where i live people are tired. Tired of Washington, and all the bs that comes down the pike with it.
