This is so sad. The Obama Administration keeps encouraging our enemies. They will rally and get stronger and more Americans will die. What happened to destroy you enemies? What happened to destroying the enemies moral? What happened to cutting off your enemies money and logistics?? What happened to killing the enemy before they kill you? Instead of reading them "Miranda rights". That is just so pathetic.

The world has to hold the United Arab Emirates responsible for not going forward with their space program. The AUASS, or Arab Union for Astronomy and Space Sciences (1998), has not lived up to its name.

We want a timeline of when the AUASS will implement a manned space program to relocate Mecca to Mars. Let them fight this 5,000 year old war in space. We want deliverables, we want to see a billion MUSLIM ASTRONAUTS being shot off into space.

Boycott oil until they deliver on their promise. Petition the AUASS to meet international standards of space development. Pressure them to buy the fleet of Buran spacecraft from Russia.

The United Arab Emirates should be putting their $ in space, not buying weapons.

Fact: " The first Army Medal of Honor was awarded to Private Jacob Parrott during the American Civil War for his role in the Andrews Raid; the most recent medal was posthumously awarded in October 2007 to U.S. Navy Seal Lieutenant Michael P. Murphy for actions that occurred on June 28, 2005, in Afghanistan’s rugged Hindu Kush mountains.[47] The only female Medal of Honor recipient is Mary Edwards Walker, a Civil War surgeon. Her medal was rescinded in 1917 along with many other non-combat awards, but it was restored by President Jimmy Carter in 1977.[48] "

In my mind anyone who dies in action deserves a Medal of Honor because they gave their life in the service of their Country. The Bravery is there.

All the previous posts bring out a good point. They died for your right to say what you want without fear of arrest or recrimination. When the Constitution is under severe strain as it is now with our political leaders trying to reinterpret it. It calls to mind what every military enlisted person swears to upon military induction. It's to defend with your life if necessary the Constitution and Country.

Ronald they died for more than our first amendmendment rights. The problem I see are Jingoists who claim US uber alas and at the same time so many civilians do not live up to to the ideals of the life made possible by that Constitution. Too many claim their rights while they do nothing to live up to their obligations to others under the Constitution. People who support torture, wireless eavesdropping w/o either Congressional or Judicial oversight, and harsh actions against immigrants are examples of what I mean. Many who praise the military in action forget them and their families. I see wounded do not get tup notch help bec thet are considered tax payer burdens just like old people and undocumented immigrants. There is a lot of hypocrisy surrounding the way the warmongerers who never will serve this country go about devaluing others for their beliefs and contributions to make the US better for all.

heeltap,
I'm in agreement, and it has little to do with the duty of a military person. He has to go where he is told, not neccesarily where he wants to be. We the people have let the Constitution get hijacked by politicians. Our system of checks and balances is a little out of kilter.
"Let us beware of being lulled into a dangerous security;and of being...
weakened by internal contentions and divisions;...of neglect of military exercises and dicipline, and in providing stores of arms and munitions of war; for...The expenses required to prevent a war are much lighter than those that will, if not prevented, be necessary to maintain it".
Benjamin Franklin

Bombings of churches! Latest news from Baghdad on July 12, 2009.

This is a piece of unacceptable if not unnerving news. Why create an unnecessarily cruel antagonism between the two great religions? Have there been not enough conflicts?

The less-than-expected bombings in Baghdad may signal in a mixed yet severe warning, if unchecked, could relegate into serious ugly ramifications in international community.

Such uncalled-for violence must be stopped immediately at all means. Has the government the capability of exercising its control over the perpetrators?
