Air France crash still a mystery

There are a few clues about Air France Flight 447's final minutes, but investigators caution that they are far from determining ... » Full Story on USATODAY.com

Key question: How much distance separated the main body of debris from the vertical tail? Large distance would indicate the tail separated at altitude, which would suggest tail loss caused the aircraft to lose control.

Probably not something the French, or Airbus, wants to have widely popularized.

Just as there are some things in life that we can change and somethings we can't. There some things we find answers for and somethings we can't. I think we can chalk this up as "we will never know"
They made a valiant effort but the ocean is just too deep and too wide.

The problem isn't so much Air France as it is Airbus planes. Stick with US made Boeing aircraft.

Airbus planes are some of the best around. I flew to London on an Airbus. When that baby takes off, you really take off. My husband is in aviation avionics. He knows planes inside and out and likes the Airbus. The best airline (safest) is Alaska Airlines.

Blame it on Bush and the Republicans.
That should cover it.

Any plane crash is a mystery after 9/11. .Look at NYC where 3 buildings fell with just 2 jet plane. Let me guess, it was a ghost building?

I am an A&P Mechanic and Air Bus jets are an unproven aircraft. In America our buliders and mechanics go to school and have to get a license before touching an aircraft. Stick to American made aircraft.

They established the plane landed intact on the water, on its' belly. Must have happened fast b/c no life jackets were inflated. Creepy. Maybe it really took them by surprise and suddenly they were hitting the water at top speeds bumping along and then BOOM, sinking and falling apart....what a way to go. So sad.

Sure wish they'd gotten off ONE message. So odd. IN my lifetime, I don't think I've heard of such a situation.

sebastián y secilia se casaron el 447 de diciembre del 2009 en una ceremonia muy discreta en la intimidad de su hogar. La boda fue solo por lo civil, pero ninguno de los dos descarta la idea de llegar juntos al altar.

The media needs to get this thing out of the headlines. We will never know what caused that plane to go down. You keep emphasizing the last few minutes of the flight, so what, you will never know, so drop it.

Boeing, Boeing and Boeing once more, they are proven and safe airplanes! An Airbus A320 crashed on its maiden flight, Mulhouse France 06/25/88, who wants to buy these flying coffins??

Anyone who believes that Airbus is a good coompany and plane must be on something, Boeing is the best and even when their planes have problems, they send or are willing to send people to help. I have not heard that the French Airbus sent anyone, I just heard it was the french navy, makes me think they are trying to hide something.

I flew Air Canada (French Airbus) Small plane FOR AN INTEWRNATIONAL FLIGHT. bad customer service, I will never fly French or Canadian airlines again.
