Stimulus spending finally starts to trickle down

Really? All of these billions of dollars to make affordable housing for the working poor? And what happens when the working poor do not have jobs? Do these housing units simply turn into government housing amd be rent free?

I forecast these housing units for the working poor to have a lifespan of maybe 5 years or less. They will have to torn down and replaced. Typical of government housing for the working poor. See them in STL, Newark, Oakland, Detroit, etc formerly affordable housing for the working poor that are now either abandoned or empty trash-strewn lots.

Here is one sentence from that entire article.

"In central Marion County, a family of four making less than $41,000 annually is eligible."

In the area where I life 41,000 per year makes you rich....................something wrong here

Most of the stimulus money is going to states where Obama
won the vote. Much of that money is going to financial supporters in the form of contracts. It is Chicago politics on a national scale and it stinks!

Who is all this money trickilin down to? Here in southern Alabama all you see are the same things every single day. More unemployment, more illegal Mexican's, and more home foreclosures goin on. There aint none of that stimulus money in this part of the world, and I dont believe it one bit when they say its gettin better because it's really not.
Obama needs to come down here to the south and explain to us where oour hard working money has gone off to, and he need not worry about having anywhere to land that big plane he lives in. We have plenty of runway space at the airport in Mobil.

I'm at a loss for words on this stimulus spending or whatever you want to call it.

Taking over for bank loans, covering employee paychecks, yada, yada, yada. This just covers existing debts; it does NOT stimulate the economy to create new jobs other than the snow jobs coming out of the white house.

Interesting after several reports that the economy is still in the tank and the stimulus package isn't working out comes the optimistic everything is going according to plan articles. Don't get too dizzy as you get spun around out there.

NO, let me share with you how his stimulus is working here.
This just happened two weeks agao:

I got a 250.00 stimulus check (disabled vet). I didn't expect it, it was a nice suprise. UNTIL -

until - my check was regular retirement check was shortened. There was NOTHING that said it would be taken out that check either. It looks like I have aprox 6 payments to make from my regular retirement check before I pay off the stimulus.

NOT my idea of a stimulus. Dumb jerk!

Hopefully it will reach the disgruntled people above and soon b/c some of them are quite questionable! (pssst Damien V & FBO)...LOL

18 million to redo the website telling us where the money went...1 million in NY city to build a sign that says this project paid by the recovery act...in september 2008 these idiots were running around like a chicken little...spend spend...then in january...dont read it..just sign here its a stimulus plan that will give us "shovel ready" 600,000 jobs by summer...8% max unemployment and a growth in GDP for 2010 of at least 3.2%....we will NOT waste your money...7.5 million dollars later for czars and their staff...700 MILLION later for a weekend retreat for social security admin managers...its the economy, stupid....its the economy, stupid...say it with me...yes we can...

The so-calles stimulus is a miserable failure. The liberal media will whitewash it as best they can but the verdict is in. So-called stimulus is a miserable boondoggle failure.

Really???? Who is it helping? Where did all this money go anway? I didn't get any of it and neither did my friends or neighbors. But wait....my state didn't vote democratic so perhaps we are being punished.

Really, it's working? Then why are the Dems talking about yet another stimulus package that they want to start on? Where does it all end? I'll tell you where, they will utterly destroy our country from within, not other nations or countries warring against us, but our own leadership wreaking havoc and oppressing Americans!!

Let's see , if this is trickling down from government spending, but yet will have to be paid back, eventually higher taxes and inflation will undo whatever good has come. More jobs would be lost, companies not hiring, nobody spending they are saving. EXPENSIVE

Let's see - if the private sector offers goods or services that people want, becomes profitable, grows and hires more people, more people spend money, more companies make more money and hire more people and it trickles on down to more and more. Doesn't have to be paid back, taxes don't go up, more people working means more tax revenues for the government. FREE

It's so hard to respond to some articles when they think that their readership is illiterate. This is not, at least not yet, a third world country whose people cannot read or write. We can still decipher between fact and fiction. Brainwashing will not work fellla's, no matter how many times you say it, the economy is not getting better.
