The unfortunate reality in all of this is that these things happen around us daily. Personally I do not believe that there is ever a time for this kind of debate, and if there were to be one, this would certainly not be it. Tragedy happens daily. People die daily. Religion has nothing to do with it. Its just part of life. My heart goes out not only to John Travolta and Kelly Preston, but to anyone who has had to bury a child. ~Blessed Be~
Its cool Lisa Marie is voicing her feelings about not being quick to ridicule the spiritual beliefs impacting the public opinion on such a life altering loss as John and Kelley are facing. May they find comfort in each other and embrace their daughter because only time and love can heal this kind of hurt. God is Love.
Hey . .they lost their son. The media just needs to do their job on a grieving angle. No sense in trying to stir up controversy over beliefs just to see papers. John and Kelly are private nice people. They have had a horrible loss. Let's leave them to heal and give them our best wishes.
MY Goodness! This child DIED in his Fathers arms! Let this family alone!! I have never lst a child, but I do have two, if something hapend in this way, I would probably want to die in their place. NO PARENT should have to bury their child much less have them die in your arms & there is nothing you can do to stop it!!! My heart hurts deeply for them & their little girl. God Bless them all & give them the strength to go on.
Religion has no part in death. I thank Lisa Marie for pointing that out. To the Travoltas my heart bleeds for you. I only have one child (33yrs old)and if she died before me I would probably have to be commited to an insane asylum or I would take my life too. I hope to never have to feel that, but it is a reality that every day children die of cancer, serious illnesses or accidents. I don't know how their parents go on.
I am certain that the Travoltas have done everything humanly possible to best assist Jett with his medical needs.
The news and tabloid magazines make reference to the fact that the Travoltas are Scientologists, but it doesn't seem to me that the journalists who are writing many of these articles are all that knowledgeable about the religion or it's practices. They are speculating and administering information strictly based on their peer's perspectives. I have read very few articles about this tragedy that leaves me to believe that the articles on Scientolgy are based on fact rather than opinions. As a result, the media is portraying all of the negative commentaries about Scientology and turning it around to make it seem like John and Kelly were negligent regarding Jett's care.
Regardless of their religion, the Travoltas are owed an oppotunity to grieve peacefully. Any one of us would expect and request the same treatment.
