Why Sarah Palin Quit as Governor

Although her stated reasons are hard to pin down, insiders say the Alaska governor's decision is unlikely to lead to a presidential run in 2012 » Full Story on Time.com

We would like to know the REAL reason she quit.
I think to avoid another lawsuit and/or another scandal. Or they forced the bimbo out of office.

No matter, party on Alaska!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gov. Sarah Palin resignation (great political move for her & our country)
The majority of Alaskans are proud of Sarah Palin for taking her first steps towards 2012. This was an appropriate day (Independence Day eve); for her to take some time with her family, focus on immediate strengthening of state and national objectives; all without having her hands tied by holding political office. Our nation is waking up to the realities of the Nov. 08 election results and now we want our country back. Sarah is not a quitter, but instead a fighter who thinks outside of the box. She is the square peg that won’t be forced into the round hole; a “complex conservative” that both political parties and the media can’t figure out; which is what scares them so much. She may be living outside of the continental United States now; but will end up taking the country by storm come 2012 and move to our country’s capitol.

Gov. Palin gave an excellent speech on Friday (without Speechwriters or Teleprompters); showing intelligence, good eye contact, speaking honestly and directly from her heart straight to the heart of the average American and didn’t require any handholding (as she writes her own stuff). On the other hand,
Obama pays his 28 year old speech writer $175,000.00 (one of the top paid people in Washington) and doesn’t normally do any speeches without a Teleprompter and his personal speechwriter. Think about it. Who is actually the better speaker, based on “their own merit”? Sarah is head of the pack without a doubt.

Report your statistics correctly CNN, do not falsely quote or misconstrue facts, as we are beginning to see through the smoke and hold your feet to the fire. All ethics charges were filed after her nomination for VP candidate and were pushed by the mainstream media’s attack on her and her family. The 15 false ethics charges (cases she has won) have been dropped. By stepping down, she will prevent millions more of state money spent in her defense and wasted time spent by state employees on defending more charges. Not one of them was proven valid, but continue to cost the Palin’s thousands from their personal budget.

Sarah is the opposite of Obama in so many ways; budget conscious, a supporter of capitalism, honest, supports our constitution, ethical, patriotic, believing in and not wanting to control her country and more. This is the opposite of Obama and multiple other governors & senators who have left their gubernatorial or congressional responsibilities gathering dust, continued drawing a paycheck from the government coffers, and travelling while in the process of running for higher political office. She can now spend days or weeks away from the state and will not do this on the public dime. What an unusual political candidate; a real, honest, hard-working, ethical, middle-class person; not wanting to waste her state’s money. Wow.

She really is a very ignorant person and was in way over her so-called intellect. she quit obviously because she could not handle the questions asked of her when it came to anything relevant, significant or more than the level of someone elected to the governorship of such a small body of people. McCain should have been called out on the rug for such a stupid selection as Palin. She may be very attractive but she has an extremely low grade intellect. Didja ever think that McCain, being the macho-man that his reputation gives him, had other "ideas" for Palin than the VP spot? Is there any chance that he is so stupid as to expect her to continue to "do him" in the White House kinda like Clinton and his little intern? Tell us why not!

Someone said not long ago that the liberals (DEMS) as a general rule really had 'brains that were wired differently from the rest of America' I think that I see an example of this when I read the comments on Palin's Chang of direction Palin position was clearly stated. What I hear on CNN and other similar media sources are that pundits who stated "I don't know why she is leaving her post" "She is a quitter" I'm beginning to think that these experts don't 'listen' to what is being said, have 'difficulty' understanding the English language? Her words were clear. The message was "I will NOT subscribe to the politics of destruction" i.e., I will spend my time on productive efforts and not allow and jackals in the media to tear down any aspect of my life, my family's life, my state and my country" That was the entire message. How can this be so misunderstood?

Everyone jumps into speculation and conspiracy theories. Why not just let Palin live her life how she chooses. She seems like a friendly, stroong, morale person with a solid set of values. What is so wrong with that? The thing about Palin is she has not controversy in her public life as the article states. Nothing questionable. Her life seems to be the most normal of any politician. Only the media and the left wing has used her personal affairs, none of which were accurate, to try and destroy her reputation and good standing. If she were a Democrat, no one would bother her, kinda like Sotamayer. Now she's dangerous to America with the prospect of a seat on the Supreme Court.

Takin a ride on the Cuckoo Train!

Patrick Ruffini, a Republican media strategist, tweeted:

“Is the media / political environment now so bad that it is driving our candidates insane?”

Yea Pat..totally bat shyte

“We've seen a lot of nutty behavior from governors and Republican leaders in the last three months, but this one is at the top of that.”

Wow, some of us are pretty fearful. I wonder what happens if the independant voters become tired of large goverment and a failed stimulus, unemployment headed to 15%. I wonder what happens if somebody galvanizes those folks who are looking for that "hopey, changey" thing and instead get long lines, "cap and tax", a housing market that gets even more shakey and more expensive gas. Good luck to us. Maybe that "hopey changey" thing makes real good sense for 2012.

OK one, this article came from Time Magazine.....they maight as well be part of CNN they're so biased. You really think that everyone out there thinks this is a bad move? Obviously you cannot say no. But you don't see that side at all in this. And if I were in the same position, I wouldn't say more than two words in front of the GOP insiders if I could help it. She's CONSERVATIVE first, not Republican thru and thru.
But my favorite comment is the one about her experience. "It leaves her with less than three years as governor on her resume — not a very strong argument to run for president." I'm sorry, is a liberal complaining she won't have enough experience? Our president at this moment has about 6 1/2 months of leadership. Good call.

what people do not understand is that sarah palin can not truly play on the national political scene, plus traveling and addressing issues which would be a detradiction from her duties as governor of the state of alaska and causee people to interpret as self-serving at the state of alaska's expense, which by the way is the only state in the union that has reduced taxes and has a positive economy. what this country needs is someone to take head on is the enormity and wastefulness of the current spending going on in washington. the debt that this spending will cause will be extremely painful for generations of americans to come and bear in the form of taxes. maybe, congress' and obama's spending helps the immediate term but it will be disastrous in the long term. i personally applaud ms. palin's actions which is extremely gutsy on her part.

I don't know why people like Rain even bother posting, let alone posting so many times.

Rain sweetie, we get it! You don't like Sarah Palin! We also can surmise by the attacks that you are 250lbs, never got a date, and are lonely. We are all very sorry for you.

I also like the way the "writers" associated with the story quote the campaign managers of the people that will likely run for President on the Republican ticket to show the other side.

Wake up America! They are shining you on! If we aren't careful we will end up stupid and bitter like Rain!

Please. Does anyone out there seriously think that this woman is the best America has to offer to run this nation? Intelligence should be a minimum requirement and her background (schooling, history, interviews, etc...) say otherwise. She's not exactly an overachiever. Other than the jump from major of a small crack town to governor there is nothing there. Come on; ...Republicans can do better and they know it and will not back her.
It is no mystery. She is leaving to do a show on Fox. She loves the limelight, is attractive and lacks the political savvy and education to be president so it's a good choice for her and her family. Personally I think that was her plan all along.
