I wanted to bring to your attention the web site I launched a couple of years ago -- MakeBeliefsComix.com -- which helps youngsters create their own comic strip online and in so doing develop their writing, reading and storytelling schools. It offers fun characters with different emotions to select from, blank talk and thought balloons to fill in with type and story prompts. The free, no-ad site is now used by educators in 180 countries for literacy and ESL purposes and was selected by Google and UNESCO as one of the world's top innovative sites to encourage literacy and reading.
