Palin still eyeing Senate?

Since Alaska Sen. Ted Stevens lost to Democratic challenger Mark Begich, Gov. Sarah Palin won't get a chance to take over Stevens' seat, as some observers had speculated she might want to do. But Palin might still have her eye on the Senate, and the state's other Senator is worried.

Sen. Lisa Murkowski, a Republican, is up for reelection in 2010. And, Politico reports, she's warning Palin to… » Full Story on Salon.com

For someone who loves Alaska, she sure has spent a lot time in the 'Lower 48.' Has anyone told her yet she has a state to run? Or that we don't condone slaughtering wolves here? Or that we expect politicians to actually be able to put a coherent thought together?

I really feel sorry for Mrs. Palin, she is trying so hard to be important but just doesn't have a clue as to how rediculous she appears. If I were her I would go home and sit down.

Gov Palin state is one of the nine states that is not in economic trouble.
Maybe if some of her haters would actually give her a chance and stop using sound bites. youtube or Tina Fey for knowledge they could see a common sense person who turned her state economy around in less than two years. And Yes I am a Democrat I just think for myself. I do not understand all of the anger when someone that comes along different from what we are use to.

I love watching Keith Olberman. Wow he sure brakes it down to a tee.She needs to go back to work. They said she hasn't been there since elections. And her ratings are way down in Alaska. Thats where she works right?

I find it interesting that there is so much criticism of Sarah Palin for all the time she is spending 0ut of Alaska.

I'm curious, is she the only political leader who is spending lots of time outside their state, away from the issues at hand? Seems to me there are a lot of governors (like ALL of them) out of their states at the moment, at National Governors' Convention.

By the way, who do you suppose is picking up the tab for the travel and expenses for all thiose governors?

If Palin was Democrat, nobody would even be talking about this, because the Democrats are the only ones who are upset about it.

And to nykaren195...KEITH OLBERMANN??? If you check your facts, you'll see that he just, last month, said he has never voted in a presidential election, until this year. Hardly what I'd call a reputable journalist.

To Pixie: the wolf hunts are done to save the caribou herds, which are doing well without an overabundance of preditors to kill the young. Remember how we were all worried about pipelines and drilling disturbing the poor carribou population? The number of yearling caribou is up by a large amount because hunting has cut back on the wolf population. In isolated areas you have to use whatever means necessary to reach the wolves.

I find it funny that some of you object to Alaskan's getting checks from the government, but have no objection to getting one yourself.

Sounds pretty hypocritical to me.

Sarah Palin is likened to a lottery winner that suddenly had millions of dollars and little sense. She spent it all. She cannot come down from the poilitcal high and go back and do her job as governor, that's too small. She is right it is too small for her now. She has become larger than her people, and if I were an Alaskan I would want her to hurry up and be gone to Maverickville. Ministers Joel Olsteen, and T.D. Jakes have larger memberships, there are schools being succcessfully operated by deans that have an enrollment the size of her govenorship. The truth is she was presented with an opportunity she was not prepared for. The fact that she will not stop running in the 2012 election, be quiet and help work on the financial dilema facing Amnericans and much of the world is a sure indicator this woman is not ready for the big leagues. Sarah please return to the minors if they will have you back.

Here's the big question: in 2010, will her running for the job be much news? And even if she were to win the seat, how much attention would be paid to the junior senator from alaska? What would she bring to the senate? Paparazzi?

I think if Lisa Murkowski thinks she has more political muscle than Sarah Palin, she has got some hard lessons to learn....

Lisa Murkowski won't run if she knows whats good for her.

Sarah Palin has more experience in running an administration than Hussein Obama will ever have. With the exception of Clinton who was a total dud our last Gov. Elect was Ronald Reagan and it seems he got us out of a deep recession that was a result of 4 years of a peanut head from Georgia. He also got us out of the Cold War. Senator especially one termers like Hussein Obama have no experience so we are seeing the re-election of the Clinton Administration.

that means murkowski will be able to do what others here in the mainland weren't able to do with palin and that's get dirty with her. she won't have to worry about hearing sexist comments it'll be woman to woman and she'll be able to rip into her and air palin's dirty laundry something they weren't able to do in this election. all of you caribou barbie supporters make sure to watch and you'll see the truth other than the fact her and husband were trying to have alaska ascended from being a part of the united states. that wasn't brought up during the debate and it should've been and she had the nerve to question someone's patriotism. she's the hypocrit.
