Health for hard times

A recession is good for our health, argues a current study making the media rounds. It needs a second opinion. » Full Story on Salon.com

Hold on here. When was the last time you visited a doctor and was not perscribed something??

It is pretty rare that you are not pushed on some pill/syrup.

Ever wonder why?

Perhaps it is because the doctor just is lousy.

Surprise they are just over trained biologists.

Expiration dates on drugs is fairly meaningless unless the product needs refrigeration or is over 6 months beyond the expiration.

There is a reason why drug companies are growing so quickly.

Ever wonder why?

Insurance companies have ruined our health care system but doctors themselves bare some responsibility. I have stopped going to doctors altogether because of my experiences in the last few years. My kids are the only reason I keep health insurance, if it wasn't for that I would drop it all together. I had a doctor come in and tell me my blood pressure and all my tests were fine and they hadn't even taken my blood sample yet. This isn't my only nightmare doctor visit some of my kids visits are even worse. Kaiser is a disgrace and should be put out of business. I have paid in thousands every year and literally never use my insurance unless my kids get sick. Even my kids will say please dad don't take my to the doctor they won't do anything and don't care about us. Mind you I try to never say anything negative about the healthcare system or doctors around my kids because I don't want them to know the realities of what it's become.
