Bloomberg survives scare

NYC's narrow reelection makes Dems skeptical. » Full Story on Politico.com

first he bought 20 votes on the city council to overturn term limits, then he spends 150 million dollars to get re-elected. you have to wonder what's up his sleeve. nothing is worth that much, maybe a rocket to pluto. maybe.

You mean $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ nearly lost for a change ? Well Corzine found out it doesn't rule in New Jersey for a change. Look out America, we may all be getting our country back soon.

Bloomberg's run for a third term pumped $100 million of ad and media spending into the NY market, helping the NY economy more than the stimulus.

I wish that little weasel had lost -- can't stand the guy. That said, it's encouraging to see the Dems continue to make bonehead moves, and to hear the White House make its typically snide comments....

Is he a republican or a democrat? Is he a conservative? I dont know. All i know is that he is continuing Guliani's policies of being tough on crime. And you cant argue with that. I hear that crime is down in NY 30% since 2001. Good job bloomberg and guliani. If he is making it safe to walk the street you cant question why he is being re-elected.

Paid for it?

I didn't see ANYONE complain when obama spent SOOOOOO MUCH more than McCain.

They had an agreement to spend the same amount and obama broke that promise at the last minute.

obama spent more money from foriegn donations than McCain spent in total.

My projections for these victories came from YOU people RIGHT HERE IN YAHOO.

When I first tuned into Yahoo buzz one year ago it was filled with the liberals bragging about obama.

They could not handle a simple rational discussion with a single point.

They thumbed me down when I asked what obama planned other then CHANGE.

Then I posted some thoughts directly from the GREAT AMERICAN CONSTITUTION and the libs STILL THUMBED ME DOWN.

Soon my thumbs went up with nearly every post and the hateful libs sort of went away.

Based upon the CHANGE seen in the blogs around here I knew CONSERVATIVES would win.

2009 America put a DOWNPAYMENT on getting our CHANGE BACK.

NEXT?

2010 Congress and the Senate get their CHANGE BACK.

2012 America is FREE AT LAST because the change gets a

FULL REFUND, Thanks.

Bloomberg is a RINO (Republican in name only ) and all I can say is enjoy this term while it lasts because no amount of money will save you in the next election you despicable little worm, or should I say the man who transpires to be "King of New York"

If I spent $100,000,000 (yes, $100 MILLION) to get re-elected and lost, I'd be one sore loser. New York City should have NEVER extended term limits. I'm glad I don't live up there and have Bloomberg as MY mayor. He's got a little, pinched rat face. Doesn't look trustworthy!!!

Typical of the Libs in control, making new term rules to fit their agenda. Had Rudy G tried to do that all hell would have broken loose in the NY Lies paper.

By NYC standards, Bloomberg is a decent mayor. His narrow reelection points to 1) strong anti-incumbent sentiment and b) NYC voters are beginning to forget Dinkins...

He!!, NY Democrats would rather vote for the third anti Christ rather than a Republican - that's just how they think!
For a Party that supposedly for the poor - they sure seem to have a lot of multimillionaires! Ha Ha, and most apparently don't pay their taxes!

The rightists here continuously praise Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, and Sarah Palin for having great political wit. Yet they couldn't succeed in getting a conservative elected in a district which has gone Republican since the Civil War. I guess the local level Republicans in that district know more than Glenn, Rush, and Sarah when they nominated Dede Schozzafava and said that Doug Hoffman didn't have a chance at winning the district. Republicans, learn your lesson: unless you want to lose election after election, quit taking advice from a talk radio stooge, a TV actor who uses VapoRub for tears, and a ditz who quit her job because she couldn't take the heat.

Time to impeach Obama and vote out the Obama rubberstamps in congress! I'm an Independent, but I knew Obama was a deceptive snake that would do whatever he could get away with if he got elected. Obama has zero executive experience and a Marxist agenda for America. I knew Obama was all lip service and in it for the power and money for himself. I am still glad I didn't vote for him. Call your senators and reps in congress and tell them not to rubberstamp Obama's socialist and Marxist agenda. Not much on the Hope theme from Obama anymore, and the wrong kind of Change!

You would not spend that much money for a local election unless there is something in it for you. Question is; what is he up to??

Considering the amount of his own money Bloomberg spent and the fact that he was running against token opposition, a 5% victory margin is pathetic.
Incumbents of any political stripe should take that as a warning.
