I'm a Staunch Democrat and I don't think the Health Care Reform bill should cover abortions. Abortion is a personal choice and when someone makes that choice, they should personally take their own money out of their personal account.

More importantly, let's just pass the bill to get insurance for the uninsured and this should then stop doctors from jacking up their costs to offset the losses they absorb from the uninsured.
Republicans keep your mouths shut. You had 8 years and accomplished nothing but a messed up economy because you Republicans are always reactive not proactive.
Obama's next move should be stop the War Mongering in the Middle East to save billions by pulling us out. Most of those military contracts with kickbacks in Iraq/Afghanistan go to the Republican coffers.

Once again they pass something they've not bothered to even read, where's the transparency? What happened to the 72 hour referendum where they put the bill up for public perusal before signing it? I hope all of you out there that think this is the cats ass have insurance because if you don't your going to be on the wanted list, they're going to make it a crime not to have health insurance, amongst other garbage shoveled into a 2K page monstrosity no one bothered to read.

This unwieldy and unexplained piece of excrement legislation will go down to defeat on Constitutional grounds when challenged; and it WILL be challenged. I wonder if the Government can do as well with all of healthcare as they have done with flu vaccine? They manage vaccine to make it affordable and available. The result is rationing, poor quality control, no new technology, and no U.S. provider. The best way to fix the damage is to never elect a liberal again. Then those of us that are smarter than an Obamoron can get on with fixing the nation.

This is progress and a step toward America joining the other civilized nations who deem health care to be a right for all of its citizens. Ultimate implementation will increase the level of care and decrease the cost, no one of conscience or integrity should expect to profit from another's misfortune nor should any be allowed to discriminate against sick people. With universal health care we all become more fully human.

My congressman voted against the bill only because he received a free pass from Nancy. He voted for the stimulus bill, the cash for clunkers bill and the tax credit for homebuyers bill twice and thinks he is helping working Americans. He does not understand the phrase "guilty by association". Next year he will receive an early retirement.
