I agree. I own a Pioneer Kuro and there nothing out there that gives a more natural, flimlike picture. Also, incredible black levels.
Panasonic was taking over Pioneers Plasma productions, and they hope to exceed Kuro black levels.too,

not sure what happening with it currently, but it supposed to be a premium brand, note this was a few months before everyone started freaking out about the economy.
I find it totally amazing that everyone talks about LCD TV's and Plasma TV's and completely ignores LED DLP TV's. I purchased a 67" 1080p, running at 100 mhz LED DLP set made by Samsung for less than $ 2,000. It produces incredible accurate color with superb black levels for all TV events. No motion lag in even the fastest paced events. It only consumes a little more than 119 watts and does not put out any noticable heat into the room it is in. It does not require replacement bulbs - ever -, since it's lit by LED's and the life expectancy for normal 6 hour viewing is a minimum of 10 years. You can play video games without worrying about burn-in, guaranteed. The contrast/brightness of the picture will not degrade over time since LED's will burn at the same level until they die. This TV has many more features that are too much to write about here. Check it out and stop whining about LCD's and Plasmas.
