what does her growing up have to with being a Supreme Court Justice?
Sounds like a promo to a cheap movie to me. If it hadnt been for affirmative action, she wouldnt have gotten into college she didnt have
the grades. Wow what a choice.

Obama couldn't find a gay, myopic, black amputee so he settled for Sotomayor. Sad really.

ummmm she was valedictorian of her class and when she did go to princeton she graduate summa cum laude. Lets assume for a moment affirmative action got her in...did affirmative action make the grades for her. I doubt it ...then she went to Yale...which has been a good ole boy university for years. If you want to disagree with Obama's choice, why don't we stick to facts and current issue at hand rather than when she went to college over 30 years ago. I hope thats not the best you have.

The biggest problem I see is that all the racists are the ones calling her a racist. White America?? What the hell is that? Aren't we supposed to be colorblind in this country? Yeah right!! If she was a white old man would she be more suited for this position? Ever since Obama became President, all the hate mongers and racists have been working overtime. If you are not hating our president, you are hating his nominees or his policies. But how ironic is it that the very racism and bigotry you are complaining about, is something you are quite good at yourselves. Just because it comes out of the mouth of a person with a different racial background does not make it right.

If Sotomeyer was anything but Hispanic or a female would this still be an issue? Hopefully her background will make her open to change, because by what I've read here from all of you that hate anyone that isn't Anglo, not much has changed in America then. Too bad for those of us who try not to hate someone because they are different than us. Our country was not ruined by Hispanics. It began to go down the day we allowed God to be removed from our decisions and families.
GOOD LUCK SONIA SOTOMAYOR, and may your life experiences and God bless and influence all your decisions.

She's a puppet now. The Obama admin media relations has got a hold her of and has "groomed" her to say what they think will get her in the seat. Once she is there, she can do what she wants. They should have grilled her at the very very beginning before she could study the "Liberal's Guide to Lying for Appointment".

ALSO - it is extremely American to stand up for the Constitution and it is our right and our duty to defend it as well as voice dislike for things and people that dilute it! WE are the one's PRESERVING AMERICA and if YOU don't like it, then YOU can take your CHANGE and get the hell out.

I love the righties who actually think that Sotomayor is unqualified.

I hope they organize a tea party to protest so they can show the rest of the country how stupid they are.

Considering her ruling on Ricci, what the court is saying, minorities are unable to pass the same exams that whites are given, so you must lower your standards. What a bunch of bull. There are many highly intelligent minorities that are more than capable of passing tests, they just didn't happen to be working at this fire station. So must we now treat minorities as simpletons. If I were a minority, I would be appalled that this society thinks it has to dumb down to accomodate my intellectual capabilities.

Sotomayor has also vowed fidelity to her 12" black dildo, nicknamed "The Chupacabra", much to the chagrin of Justice Clarence Thomas.

People forget that Sotomayer is the one that made the racist decision and racist remarks.

Upon hearing that from ANY candidate Rep or Dem.... she is not qualified no matter what her creditials attest to.

I wonder if anyone will ask her how she would vote about Obama realeasing his original birth record, passport applications and all college records to the courts?? He has successfully blocked everyone from seeing them, of course he has spent close to a million $ of his own $ doing it. Many state legislators are now requesting access since our politicians at the federal level never bothered to do it!! What a con has been pulled on US citizens.

nesterfern,

It is your ilk that is trying to change America, if you do not like our constitution then you should leave. There are plenty of socialist, and communist country you can move to. I disagree with you about the "bitching", it is waking up a lot of people that bought into the bag of lies president Obama was selling in the 2 year campaign. I don't really see it as "bitching". I see it as telling the truth and exposing the lies of the socialist that you elected.

C'mon! What else is she going to say? She's an Ivy Leaguer. She can lie to your face with the best of them. The ends justify the means to these people, so truth and honesty become values that can be manipulated and rationalized. This is a charade. Just give her a robe and gavel and get on with destroying our liberties in the name of minority politics and the Green religion.

First, she would have to respect the rule of law to have fidelity to the law.
In her wise latina mind, law is based on empathy and other emotional factors with little regard for the constitution

Ms. Sotomayor has made racist comments all through her career; Estrada was not sat because of his race...is she any different? I beleive his Code of Ethics far surpass this nomineee in every way.

You all that disagree that she should be sat should read the Ricci decision and understand it...this is not her first decision that is in the same ballfield. Read Maloney v. Cuomo, given after the S.C.'s Heller decision; read the Jeffrey Deskovic case where "empathy" was carried out. Didden v.Village of Port Chester where she gave over eminent domain to a developer then he went on to make serious money.

I just cannot get past that she thinks decisions should be made based on foreign laws and the international community when interpreting our Constitution? Is she promoting OWG?

Read what she has to say in, The International Judge regarding change; read what she says on Fundamental right to taxpayer paid abortion.

Regardless of race, ethnic heritage, gender, religious affiliation, sexual orientation, physical or mental handicap, I.Q., political persuation, et cetera, Sonia Sotomayor is far better qualified than any of the G.H.W./G.W. Bush nominated justices...

At a Duke University forum, Sotomayor stated: U.S. appeals courts are where policy is made, directly contradicting our Constitution and our system of checks/balances which gives that power soley to our elected representative.

Sounds to me like she also thinks she is J.C. and I do not mean Carter..................
