U.S. Inaction Seen After Taliban P.O.W.’s Died

Bush administration officials are said to have repeatedly discouraged efforts to investigate a 2001 mass killing in Afghanistan by the forces of a U.S.-backed warlord. » Full Story on New York Times

War crimes committed with the help of human rights champions. Killers should be tried and punished, unfortunately to US there are good killers and bad killers, there are good dictators and bad dictators, there are good terrorists and bad terrorits. Which one is it, hypocray or ?????????

robert : you are such an idiot; democrats are jumping up to say anything and everything to take attention from Obama's idiotic first 6 months. If you notice that sorry piece of crap Obama has dropped his approval rating down into the 30 percentile. So you and your sorry democrats make up all the lies you want and keep harping on the lies about Bush and Cheney. While Dan Rather works on his forgery of Obama's birth certificate. You are one SORRY INDIVIDUAL !!!

Hey, Have you noticed that this "anonymous" person seems to know something about every story posted by the AP? Almost every single story now days seems to come from anonymous sources. Are we supposed to believe all of this stuff they're printing? Do we even have a reliable news source in this country anymore? I think all of our media have turned into propaganda spreading agents. I've noticed that they don't report all the facts in a story anymore and seem to be adding more and more of a biased spin to every article... It's getting much harder to learn the truth about anything anymore...

It's finally time to stop being what my Chinese friends say about us. They ask me (constantly), "Why does America feel it needs to police the world and impose its beliefs upon others??" I can offer them no inteeligent answer other than "capitalism interests". WE NEED TO REPAIR OUR SOCIETY AMERICA

Just report the facts. These "US said to" reports aren't cutting it.

First, the story is about 1 group of Afghans killing other Afghans. The fact that group A fights on our side and did the killing of group B (the enemy of USA) somehow extrapulates into "it is the USA's fault"? In a war of tribes vengeance is a motive. We don't know the whole story but the bottom line, there can be no peace without victory, and Afghans know how best to deal with other Afghans.

Second, the war in Afghanistan started because the Taliban would not give up the Osama Bin Laden and his ilk. Remember after 9/11? Remember Bush giving the Taliban an ultimatum? Remember how we all wanted justice and supported Bush? This was a USA war. This was our war against extremists who wanted, then and now, to kill more of us "Infidels".

I despise Obama for his Socialist Statist agenda but the war is not his fault... But if blaming him (wink wink) gives him less votes in his next election...then lets all chant... Obama's a war monger! LOL

The fact is Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld and Ashcroft should be accountable at the Hague for what they've done. But the fact is this is America and not even a world tribunal will hold anybody in the US accountable for their actions, no matter now many people die.

If there was any justice in the world at all, these people would be pulled from their beds at night while their wives are screaming helplessly, and taken away. Off of American soil where Democracy, or some form thereof, is the way we do things. We DON'T invade countries on lame excuses so we can have their oil.

My vote - round them up and get rid of them, like we would any ordinary terroist.

it is funny to see liberals calling the war in Afghanistan a war for oil now, there is no oil there.
they were calling Iraq a war for oil until gas was near $5 a gallon then they stopped and called it a misguided war, now it is back to war for oil,
Liberals, Bush made his money owning the The Texas Rangers,
AL Gore made his money with Occidental Oil before he started the gullible warming scam that is now called climate change because temperatures have been dropping for over 10 years now

It's not just a Bush thing. It should be investigated just like any other war crime... Crap happens in war but if possible massacres/illegal killings need to be resolved. Its happened in WW2, Vietnam, etc..on both sides.
