With a Little ‘True Blood,’ HBO Is Reviving Its Fortunes

I've watched this show, and it's not bad, not great, but not bad either.

AT LEAST THESE VAMPS DON'T SPARKLE IN SUN LIGHT, GOOD SHOW. WISH I STILL HAD HBO THIS SEASON.

i agree with 10 spot, vampires don't glimmer. twilight is a s***** vampire movie. true blood is a good show.

I really, really like True Blood, but at first I was pissed because all of the accents sounded so over-exaggerated. And while mostly they seem to have grown on me (as I realize that while many of us here don't sound quite like that, many others do esp in rural towns) I still can't stand Renee's fake Cajun accent. Nothing against him--even I can't do a decent Cajun accent and I know some. And I'm at least glad that the show displays many of the characters that do live in LA and not just a bunch of stupid, racist rednecks like you'd see on other shows about the South. As on the show, they exist here but most LA people aren't like that.

Also, swamps near Monroe? Can anyone from North LA tell me that there are really any swamps up there?

Besides that, very interesting show! I love all of the myths the vampires debunk on there and the strange, mystical world of the entire show. Michelle Forbes makes an awesome witch!

Love the show but it should not be in North LA but in south but you write about what you know. In the South the accents would be thicker and different/

i love true blood!! it is a hot ass show, if you did not watch season one, do so cause it's worth it
