Obama's Frightening Insensitivity Following Shooting

My reaction was just what the article stated. I couldn't believe he didn't lead his remarks with his sympathy and appropriate comments about the tragedy. I thought maybe I was being unfair since I have no respect for the man and disagree with almost everything he does, but when I mentioned it to others, they were as appalled as I was. Another observation I made (I hope I'm wrong) was that his eyes didn't really show the emotions he said he felt. We need to get rid of this man in 2012 and keep him in check until then so he doesn't totally ruin this country.

Obama is a tele-prompter reading tool - a real moron, a testimony to how far Affirmative Action can take a complete communist idiot.

Unbelievably inappropriate. Disgusting of Obama. But so typical, like him playing golf every week with the boys and his playing basketball, while claiming he has no time to talk to the Afghanistan commander and make a call on Afghanistan strategy. Obama is repuslive.

I turned it on and thought I was watching an early feed where he didn't know the camera was on - but it turns out he did know it was on. It was truly shocking that he didn't entirely change his script. But teleprompters don;t allow that easily.

Maybe Obama felt nothing as the Muslim truly felt nothing. He hates America. He hates the armed forces. He apologiozes for the US abroad. He is a closet Muslim.

Hey, the guy is COLD! Much like Stalin, Hitler, Mussolini, and endless list of despots and tyrants that have risen to power over the years. His actions don't suprise in the least! The article ask the question why didn't his handlers protect him from this gross display of insensitivity? Birds of a feather, flock together. They could no more see or appreciate the situation anymore than Obama.

I agree with Lu. I couldn't believe what I was watching him begin his speech with. The country was gripped with sadness of what we were hearing about Fort Hood and he acts like it's any day as usual until he had to act like he cared.

Not sure why this is shocking. This man and the DemoncRats hate the military. This just shows where it ranks on their priority list. As for his handlers, they hate the military even more than their DemoncRat coherts. This plays right in with their radical agenda of eliminating our super power status. I love the way the story appropriately questions his "leadership" in such foolish, cold, out of line behavior in a supposed leader. Obama is a community organizer - way over his head as communist president.

I guess since Obama didn't have a chance to practice or rehearse he was unable to come across as caring. His initial comments and his "shout out" was disgraceful. It is obvious even more now that he is the only one that interests him. Another clue was when he stated on Tuesday, November 3rd that he wasn't watching the election results but watching a special about himself on HBO.

Why IS anyone surprised by this?

When you hear his speeches (or read the transcripts), the words "I", "me", and "my" are used far more often than "he", "she", "we" or "they"....in some speeches, they are used DOZENS of times!

obama's self-absorption must also account for the fact that his Kenyan family members (notably a half-brother and his 80+ year old "step-grandmother" STILL live in small TIN-ROOF SHACKS, while obama and HIS immediate family live in the luxury of the most prestigious address on the planet!!!

i got the feeling that he was glad that a muslim opened fire on the military men and women.

i watched it as well and was appalled that a prez would stoop as low as he did, but at the same time i wasn't surprised.

i wished with all get out that he wasn't our president, he does need to be impeached...there have been some impeachable offenses. like the snitching policy and i'm sure there r a host of others that congress has overlooked.

Obama calling "shout outs" to his buddies ona telecast in which he is supposed to be honoring the dead - or thfact that unemployment is now 10.2% whenhe promised not 8% is his TRILLION DOLLAR Porkulus package was passed - or the fact that he is cutting multi-billin dollar back room deals with every Dem Senator, big pharma, unions, and AARP to pass his TRILLION DOLLAR Obamacare Amwerica doesn;t want??

The POTUS does not really care about these people who perished or were hurt.

I have always felt he is incapable of empathy. I don't think it is to the extreme of being pathological, but there is definitely something missing in his personality.
