Wow, I just hope that if he does die from this that it comes quickly so that he doesn't suffer too much. What a talented man and it is so horrible that he is going through this.

I have always really liked Patrick Swayze and I was very saddened to hear about his having this type of cancer. I know someone who died from it, and I know it's not one of the ones from which you are likely to recover. I hope that he does not suffer too much and I pray for him and his family.

Very sad. I wouldn't wish cancer on my worst enemy. The Swayze family is in my prayers, as well as all those with such a horrible illness.

Death is but a name, a date, a milestone by the stormy road, where you may lay aside your load and bow your face and rest and wait, defying fear, defying fate.

Mr. Swayze, Please ignore the nay sayers. Stay strong in thought and spirit, and keep battling the good fight, as you are doing.

Every disease is handled by each and every individual's body so differently. What happens to one with pancreatic cancer doesn't necessarily happen to all with pancreatic cancer in the same way. There is hope.

Looking forward to your new movie you've been working so hard on, as usual. It will be an academy award winner, no doubt, as so many of your others have been too. No surprise there! Will be good to see you with Barbara Walters on Wed. at 10pm too.

May God bless you and your family during this time of trial, and may God hold you in the palm of his hand while you stay the course.

Your gazillion fans, of whom I am one, will continue to root for you!

My mom had Pancreatic Cancer and was given the Whipple Operation at University Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio in the summer of 2006.
After recovery she was given chemotherapy treatments. Yes it was a detour down a hard road for her, as well as life changes for every day of her life from that day forth.
It will be 3 years this summer and still today she states she is not ready to leave this earth.
She is currently 74 years old and going strong day-to-day, even though there are better days then others.
She is now fully diabetic from the operation as well as having to take enzyme tablets with all meals to digest the food and a trial chemotherapy pill to keep the cancer from coming back with a vengance.
God is with those who is with him.
The individual's faith and willingness to live with positive thoughts is a powerful thing!!
May GOD be with you Patrick as you will be in my prayers.
Remember, THERE IS ALWAYS HOPE, SO LIVE LIFE STRONG!!

mannatech makes ambrotose. they have their own website. 20/20 or 60 minutes once did a study on it. it was to see if it helped in cancer containment. the girl was inoperable at the start of experiment. after two months the tv host dismissed it as "oh, the tumor's just the same size." the girl's doctor said they edited out his own amazed and happy comments that now it was fully encapsulated and he could operate to remove it.

How sad for Patrick and his family. He will be in my prayers. It amazes me how much time and money is spent on promoting drugs (usually with terrible side effects) for treating cancer after the fact and not on prevention. There are so many things that need to be done to protect people from getting this dread disease. Like baning use of certain pesticides, chlorine and floride in water, parabens, propoleyne glycol and pthalates in personal care products and cosmetics. You've got to protect yourself. Sorry for getting on my soap box but this is one thing I'm very passionate about. My father lost his life to cancer.

Patrick and his family have my deepest sympathy because I do know what they are going through. I just lost my daughter to pancreatic cancer and agree with those that say how is it we can spend billions on a jackass war that is none of our business, but can't use that money for research and cures. May God bless you all.

Hang in there "Buddy".
As one of the few who survived lung cancer, I truely hate cancer. It seems the medical establishment makes too much money off of cancer to find a cure. One chemo treatment--a thousand dollars, radiation etc. That's a lot of money to give up. Maybe some honest soul will step up with a cure.

More people die of lung cancer each year than ALL other cancers combined. But it is the LEAST funded of all. Explain that.

He looks so awful. I hope he can do what he wants to do for as long as he is able to, and the end is swift and merciful. He has always seemed like a pretty decent guy.

What a touching and "in your face"--so to speak--video. It will open your eyes. I feel so bad for Patrick Swayze and all he and his wife are going through--prayers and thoughts to both, but especially for him...
