It was worth every penny. Michael gave much more than that in life, it's the least we can do for him in death.
Any one of the multi millionaires who spoke at his memorial service could cover that bill.
That is the least they can do he did alot more then money could ever pay for. He has done alot to help people he has givin alot of his money to charity. His celebration of Life was worth every Penny. Its not his fault that the city of Los Angeles has money issues the whole world has money issues. Let Michael rest in peace. Lets just PRAY for his family and those Kids.
Now all you MJ lovers need to send money to LA for this circus and put your money where your mouth is.
If CA are handing out IOU's to those who are due a tax refund, why did they foot the bill for some celeb's funeral costs?? It's not like that family couldn't pay for it. It's not like he was left with zero money. People shouldn't have to pay for something just because those with so much money don't know how to manage it, end up "broke," and passing their bills to those who have to work so hard and are having a hard enough time keeping a roof over their heads.
That's an afful lot of money on a state and city that is just about broke. The Jackson Family needs to contribute to this bill, and it wouldn't hurt the NAACP to make a contribution as well towards it. They have the money and they know how the cash cow has just ran dry in The City of Angels. Michael had a good service, and it was done in respect and taste, but for a fellow who had almost 400 million to his name when he went on, his family could help out here a little for the expense of their loved one. It certainly would turn a lot of people who are against the Jackson Family towards them and encourage others to donate too.
although i believe he was gay the fact remains he was a king and deserves a kings funeral
Was it worth it? no. I think they should vote out the Mayor when his time is up. Then you wonder why the country is in the shape it is in. They would do away with all Hollywood events, let the stars pay for their crap, they got the money. What a waste!
God if you people spent half as much time talking s*&t about the man and his family on something more productive like an education or working to pay off the debt that you have, life in California as well as other places would be a lot better. The man is dead let him rest in peace for gods sake. And besides Michael Jackson did more in his 50 years on this planet than anyone has or will do in 10 lifetimes so get a f*$^king life already.
I loved it when the little son talked about how much he loved playing "hot dog in the bun" with daddy. Lock those little worthless freaks up now.
It's the price you pay to make homosexual marriage and pedophilia legal. Just like taxes. The liberals should have no problem with paying up.
if they have such a big deficit, and they are worried about it,
why did they send 80 miles away for food for these officers,
that ended up costing over 48,000 dollars, i guess they want
that paid for by the tax payers too, there wasn't a mc donalds
on one of the corners just down the block from staples, and
why didn't the officers pay for their own lunch, they was already
getting over pay for being there ?????????????? no wonder
these people are broke
I think that it was a very emotional memorial and well worth the money and time.
I think that the Staple center should have charged a small price for the million tickets they raffled and used some of that revenue to defer some of the cost, just my opinion.
I got a question for everyone. Who is worth more the American Soldier or Michael Jackson? Seven of my brothers fell in Afghanistan the day of his memorial. You tell me where the money should have been spent if it was going to be spent on a funeral/memorial. What did Michael Jackson ever do for this country? Sing. I also don't thingk any of his songs are more popular than The Star Spangled Banner or Taps!
I think California should give the police IOU's. But seriously, they
really should DEPORT THE ILLEGALS ! And give all the Obama/
MJ supporters on welfare IOU's.
Oh my, what of all the homeless, and disadvantaged. How can mr. mayor possible not bill the MJ family for this excessive celebration of a perp?
The funeral cost some money, but, look at the money it BROUGHT in to LA---the can pay the expenses and then still have a chunk of change in their coffers
It's California Baby write an IOU!
Born a poor Black child and dies a rich famous White man with White kids!
Only in America man! Only in America!
Hey, why are you surprised......................He left a crap load of DEBT when he was alive.
Just think.....That was a well spent 1.4 million dollars.
At least I would imagine that the crime rate went
down around the world for at least 2 hours while the thugs, criminals, rapists, car jackers, robbers, etc
were occupied by their hero's memorial.
i am sorry instead of wasting so much money on the dead they could use some on his kids 1.4 million on a memorial come on he might have been famous but that is to much bury him with his ass in the air
he totally deserves that big memorial! he gave us the biggest thing that mattered to him and all his fans, music and his great dance moves.
He is "The King Of POP":)
Will be interesting to see just how much the MJ fans finally total in donations. Might be a real surprise.
M J and O J have something to talk about .Both got away with something hear on Earth.Good luck with the Farther. The money was A wast .
“it does'nt matter easy D, Obama is, whether he shows up or not..... ”
