I have no idea who this lady is, and quite frankly, don't see why I need to care about her being sick, or whether she makes it or not. Just because she's another celebrity of sorts? She values her privacy so highly that she feels the need to announce to all, the details of her disease. Right.

Who the hell is Maura Tierney? Why the hell does anyone care about the health of someone they have never met, that might have been on TV once?

It's pretty unbelievable how many sick people there are in the world. It looks like most of the really "sick" ones like making fun of people with serious problems on Buzz.

Get well soon Maura.

It is a shame that everything that happens to a celebrity is news fodder, They don't have any privacy. I guess, unfortunately, that is the name of the game when you are in the limelight and every idiot on the plant wants to be a voyuer into your life

i will always think fondly of her as a wife of this habitual liar lawyer starring Jim Carrey in "Liar, Liar". She can't give up her fight against cancer and I hope she will be successfully treated in her fight against breast cancer. Maura Tierney reminded me of Jennifer Aniston because she physically resembled her.

If the public knows all about it - you have no privacy. She's an ok actress who's done some tv shows. She's not the only person in the world to have a monopoly on breast tumors. Hope she pulls through ok but we have much bigger fish to fry in this country.

No matter the postponment of your current series. Taking care of your health has to come first. I wish you the best in outcomes and treatment. Be sure that there are many such as myself that want the best for you. You have become more liokeable and important as I watched you in ER. Over a ten year period much of yourself had to been brought to the script and storyline. I look forward to seeing Parenthood whenever it is aired. In the grand skeem of things this means little but your wellfair is important.

Thanks for reading.

I hope all goes well and she has a favorable outcome. I don't know who she is...don't watch much TV...but breast cancer is a scary beast that attacks without notice or provocation.

I've enjoyed her work in several TV shows, and I wish her all the best. She seems like a nice, normal, decent person, who seems to live a simple life without getting in the tabloids. Again good luck!
