Kirk Douglas pays tribute to Karl Malden

Kirk Douglas has paid tribute to actor Karl Malden, who recently passed away aged 97.
Malden reportedly died from natural causes and Douglas, 93, talked about the loss of his old friend on his MySpace blog.
He said: "Nobody knew me as long as Karl Malden knew me. I first met him when I worked with him doing summer stock during college vacation.

Unlike the crass, foolish, uneducated person above, I respected Karl Malden for the wonderful actor that he was and always will be. His career was lengthy and he had "staying power" - something the kids today haven't a clue about. They have no concept of what it takes to be of champion caliber.

KARL MALDEN, WAS INDEED A FINE ACTOR. WHEN HE WAS IN A SCENE HE BECAME THE CENTER OF IT THROUGH HIS STRONG PRESENCE. HE WAS A VERY MANLY MAN. REST IN PEACE, MR. MALDEN.

Say, he looks better than he did a couple of years ago. I still don't see what that one lady??? uhhh??? his wife...you know, that Welsh lady....sees in him.
