When it comes to its message, 'Harry Potter' beats 'Twilight' any day (IrishCentral)

IrishCentral has established the Irish links to both the “Twilight” vampire craze and the “Harry Potter” phenomenon. So now, through green-tinged lenses, we take a closer look at the two phenomena and ask: which epic series is better? » Full Story on IrishCentral.com

I think HP teaches more on family, courage, friendship and definitely self sacrifice! Something that is picked up on from the first movie and continues through the series.
Twilight focuses on a teenage girl who falls in love with the ideal boy whose a vampire and another ideal boy whose a werewolf. It centers itself around first loves and we all know how those end. It doesn't give anything but it takes and hurts like hell. You never really learn a lesson because some continue to make the same mistakes well into adulthood.

Twilight Is way better. in my home town almost everyone read twilight and loved it that is about 500 people they other 498 don't read any of those books. there is only 3 people who read twilight and yes i did like a asking thing. I love twilight better then harry potter just because twilight has romance vampires werewolfs danger and the charters feel real stephenie meyer did a alsome job with ditals. now i only read all the books about harry potter before i even knew when twilight came out and then when i was done i found twilight and loved iit more then harry potter series.

I think they are both AMAZING books, and I love both.. but honestly, I do agree on the message thing. HP has a much better message by far.

I've read both series several times (yes, even the newer Twilight), and Harry Potter wins completely. JK Rowling is an excellent writer and storyteller, while Stephanie Meyer is neither. The Harry Potter characters become "friends" with the reader almost from the beginning, while most of the Twilight characters are never fully developed. Twilight is nothing more than a teen girl fantasy, and one that would NEVER happen, even if vampires and werewolves did exist. Finally, Stephanie Meyer ripped off her entire story from Charlene Harris' "Sookie Stackhouse" novels, which are currently a series called "True Blood" on Showtime.

Savannah, sweetie, I'm glad you read (really), but your post made absolutely NO sense.
