Palin: My Own Son Isn't A Republican

In an interview with the Washington Times, resigning Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) made a surprising admission: Her own son doesn't vote with the party she represented on the national state last fall. Asked what she would do once she stepped down from her post, Palin told the paper she would campaign for candidates she favored, whatever their party:

"I will go around the country on behalf of… » Full Story on Huffington Post

It's truly hard to tell what a Republican is these days as there are so many splits in that party. Only one thing is evident; they think they are directed by God to be in charge of the country and control the populace.

Sarah Palin told Matt Lauer on the Today Show that, yes, the rumors were true, on election night she did want to deliver her own concession speech & she was disappointed that she couldn't.
Well, she shouldn't feel bad. Wait till 2012 and deliver it then - Jay Leno

I don't understand how to tell the difference between the two parties. They both lie, are two faced, deceive, cheat, steal...Democrat is usually more socialist perhaps?

Why is this news? It is very common for an adult "child" to be politically different from their parents. With my parents, one was republican and one was democrat. I went democrat the first time I voted. I don't thing my parents had anything to do with my choice however. I was democrat for a decade or so then went republican. Then I realized both parties were screwing everyone over and didn't care about anyone. Now I am neither. I would almost (I said almost) prefer anarchy so we could start all over from scratch but that would cost too many good people their lives.
The party system should be done away with and limits one ONE term in any area of politics so politicians cannot make it a career and build an empire of power for themselves.

Hello!!!!!!!!!! this is the United States of America. We have all the right to vote as we will. Right now I'm Republican/Conservative. But that doesn't mean its gonna stay that way. If someone on the Democratic side shares the same ideals I do then thats who I would vote for. That is the responsible thing to do. You move to where you believe you'll represented as you are intitled to. Honestly Mcain was almost as scary as Obama! He was just barely the better choice. The whole vote by what you believe is why our country's free.

Palin's son is an adult who is serving his country. Of course, he has the right to vote his conscience. That's what America is all about. We have the freedom to make our own choices.

As for those bashing Sarah Palin, you clearly have no inkling of her true record in clearing out corruption in Alaska. She accomplished all of her goals, most notably the AGIA gas pipeline deal, which is the biggest infrastructure project in N. American history.

Gov. Palin is not an elitist snob, she is not a Washington insider, and she is not an ivy league graduate, but she has something that you cannot get from the halls of higher education: charisma, integrity, and a true love for American ideals.

Palin is one of the few governors who had the foresight to cut costs in her state, which made Alaska better prepared to weather the economic crisis. She's a fiscal conservative who would pay down the national debt rather than ballooning it to dangerous levels.

I wish I could say that this surprises me. She a nut if you ask me. If it weren't for her McCain may have had a chance. Now he has even stated that she is not the best choice for the next go around.

Personally I think that we should dissolve the parties and have all candidates run independent. No more party mouth pieces. I also believe that a candidate that lies to win an office should be jailed. If you make a campaign promise and don't follow through you go to prison!

PatF Ummmm.....Just WHO is up to 36 Czars at the present time? Czars aren't accountable to anyone but the President. They aren't accountable to congress, or the people! Talk about wanting to control the populace! B.O. THINKS he is God!

Many people and many families are in that situation. I vacillate between independent and Republican (never Democrat) and many Americans do as they should and choose the best person who is running for office. That is the way it should be.

That sarah thinks she's a "God" and when she found out she wasn't, she QUIT.
If she can't handle the pressure of the Governor job, how can she handle the pressure of being President.
Resigned because of lawsuits & distractions, that's a lame excuse. If she was President she'd have lots of distractions to deal with and probably a few lawsuits too

Rich we aren't asking you! McPain got the majority of his votes BECAUSE of her! We'd rather have a conservative hockey mom as president rather than a lying liberal who thinks he is the messiah!

As usual the HuffPo takes an innocent statement and tries to twist it against Goveror Palin. The HuffPo is nothing but a comic book. It has no journalist integrity.

You will continue to hear about this leader of the conservative movement Hardhat because the left is frightened to death of her and will do anything to try to demean her. It never works. She just rises above it and gains more momentum. Unless she says she is not running in 2012, and no one has heard that yet, your low life lefty buddies will continue to try unsuccessfully to stop her.

Here comes the Palin express rolling down the lower 48. No one will be able to stop her and she will smash Obama and his administration easily because of the inept job he is doing running the country.

No one would pay any attention to Governo Palin if she were not such a threat to the Democrats. That is why these frivolous ethics complaints have been started in Washington DC, and that is why the MSM is desperately trying to demean her. It doesn't work. She rises above it and continues her assault on the miserable administration currently in power.

One of Palin's many accomplishments: after previous Alaska governors dithered for 30 years, Palin stepped into office and started to work on pulling together the AGIA pipeline. Because of her efforts, we in the lower 48 will have cheaper natural gas when the pipeline is finished 10 years from now.

Meanwhile, Obuzzard is pushing for cap and trade legislation which will make your utility bills skyrocket.

Palin = lower natural gas bills
Obuzzard = higher utility bills

I know who I'm going to vote for in 2012.

Sarah Palin is going to blow the Obama administration away when she begins her speaking tour. She will rally conservative and independent forces and put a stop to this senseless and irrational spending.

We have a right to vote for who we want and if we choose keep any vote Union, private situation or governmental confidential unless we choose otherwise. Why does the media make this situation so negative. Angelina Jolie is a liberal while her father is a conservative. The press is very positive about her. There is such a double standard in the media.
Let's leave MJ and Palin alone and go elsewhere for balanced and fair news.

Governor Palin sometimes has unconventional methods, but her dedication to her state and her country is unswerving. She will now function in a different capacity and be even more effective in combating the atrocious administration we are now experiencing in Washington.
