Shelby Sports Cars

Cite This! of Consumer Guide, the Auto Editors. "Shelby Sports Cars." 19 May 2007. HowStuffWorks.com. 25 June 2009. » Full Story on auto.howstuffworks.com

This story was REPLETE with technical and historical errors. But that figures, since the car in the photo, being described as a 427 Cobra was in fact a 289. The engine photo was also of a 289, when the caption referred to it as a 427/428. Goodness, can someone do some RESEARCH before waxing on as some kind of an authority? The writer of this article is a FRAUD. Get a clue before you act like you know something. 427 Fords were NOT "semi-hemi" engines. They were "wedge" motors. NOT all 427 Cobras had the 428 installed. I know this stuff means little in our day-to-day lives, but if you are going to do something, DO IT RIGHT. That article STUNK, and is simply the worst information I have ever seen written about the 427 Cobra. BAR NONE.
