Copyright laws threaten our online freedom

To uphold copyright laws, governments are beginning to restrict our right to communicate with each other in private, writes Christian Engström » Full Story on Financial Times, FT.com

That's right... after 1978, it's life of the author + 70 years, and before it is 28 years + extensions up to 68 years.

But we're talking Beatles, Elvis, etc. Old crap anyway. Let the Elvis Foundation [or whatever they're called] manage the Wikipedia page for Elvis. Every educated person knows Wikipedia is for morons who would believe ANYTHING written on the Internet. "Dude, I saw it on Wikipedia, it's true I tell ya, really!". Yeah. Sure.

I'm all for opposing mass surveillance and censorship, but to abolish the patent system would be wrong, already enough piracy out of China, do want more!
