Demos said that Panetta in a meeting said the CIA did lie but when Panetta was asked he said he did not do it and the Repub that were in there said he did not say that. Some more of the lying Dems probably the ones that wrote the Stimulus bill that paid back constituents are the ones saying this. What a bunch of liars.

It is time to join in and clean up the mess GW Bush left us (unemployment and economic crisis) and take care of problems that have been on the table for AGES (energy alternatives, health care reform and enivironmental issues). We do not need to dwell on the lies Bush misled us to believing!! Remember, if you are not part of the SOLUTION, then YOU are PART of the problem. We are living on the edge with this Administration. They will do ANYTHING to change the subject because of the downward spiral of the “creep” in the White House. Unfortunately the Democrats, who incidentally are facing a major slaughter next year, are trying their best to place our country in peril. Vice President Dick Cheney was within the law to have the CIA with hold information that he deeded was too sensitive to be shared with the Congress because of the enemy we are dealing with. Remember folks, there wasn’t a single attack on this country since 9/11! There were, however several attempts that were thwarted. Now, we have a CIA that’s fearful and frozen of doing anything because of politicians attacking their mission. This is a dark day for America!
Nah, guys, it was never about winning a "war",it wasn't about oil, it may or may not have been about WMD. It WAS about securing new places for US bases, to replace the ones they knew we were losing in Saudi Arabia Qatar and the like. Think about it. What country does being in Afghanistan put us closer to? North Korea and Pakistan, in case there was ever trouble with the nukes. Iraq was about being close to Iran for the exact same reasons. Bush & co. could never admit that. obummer can't admit it either, which is why he hasn't pulled out a single soldier from either place. Democrats and conservatives need to think and quit parroting the "part lines" Think strategically.
Of course we should trust Cheney more than the congress, it had to have been congress that outed Valerie Plame, leaking her as a CIA agent to the press for punishment because her husband did not turn up the correct intelligence regarding Iraq's intentions and capabilities. Oops, sorry, that was Dick Cheney's office, if not he himself. What a surprise. The man has no conscience. If there is anything illegally done, we should pursue it criminally. Otherwise change the law. To selectively adhere to them nullifies them all.

Maybe it's about time we put Bush and Cheney on trial. If they broke the law then they must face consequences.
Ask yourself one question. Does this get our economy rolling? Does this fix the immigration problem? Does this possiably make our country a little less safe?
I am sure the jury is still out on the GW administration, it will be years before we know part of the truth of what really went on there. But is is easy to imagine Cheney in the thick of it.

They don't bother reading any of the legislation they pass. So why are they suddenly so interested in CIA activities?

Who the heck are all of these "sources of annonymity who are not authorized to speak on the issue"? Shouldn't these unauthorized sources be tried for treason. I do not blame them for not telling Pelosi every little detail her loose lips could sink our entire Navy.
