make drugs legal already!
this way this s*** wouldn't happen. our gov can gain benefit by taxing and they would have control over this sort of crime.
people have no respect for the life of another person that is so sic i pray God will change the hearts of the person or persons responsiable
I don't blame President Calderon for not negoiating with the drug cartel...what agreement could they come to?
Is that why Mexicans are dying trying to cross the borders?
What do you guys think?
legalization of drugs has in this country been used to help bolster our economy in the past (booze cigarettes)so that is an option that should be looked at more closely having said that mexico has for so long tucked under the rug the corruption that goes on in there law enforcement and there politics that they are now awash in violence and death which they can only blame on themselves
Yo i live on the border near a major mexican city, they have had close tp 4000 murders since february to now, every night on the news they are finding bodies everywhere in that city its crazy
I live in Phoenix, Arizona, there is so much more going on in this state when it comes to drugs and illegal immigration and crime that people just don't hear about, what's going on in Mexico is trickling into this country through the border states. It is bad and the local government is not doing enough to curtail this. You hear about the mass murders only, but their are drop houses, kidnapping and, Meth houses all over Arizona all run by illegal immigrants and Mexican crime cartels. The crime in Mexico is running rampant and it is overflowing into the states something needs to be done about this hopefully the new president elect cabinet will makes some serious changes in policy.
Legalize it mon, roll it and smoke it mon! Got weed? Who wants blow for desert? Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds...
I live in Tijuana... In fact, they found 9 heads wihtout the bodies. There was about 20 more deats in the same weekend. I know this situation is insane, but believe me, it is even worst. The media does not say everything. Kidnap, rape, torture, murder is every day story. They do this crimes for bussiness and for pleasure. Just by chance, I have been in about 10 diferent shootings in the middle of the day. In that cases, I cant do anything but lie in the floor and pray. You can see the gunmen from the cartels in the middle of the day patrolling the city in big luxurios cars without licence plates and showing they weapons (mostly AK-47). THIS SITUATION IS OUT OF CONTROL!!! The cartels are now working in the US and nobody is doing anything...
I agree if Switzerland can legalise heroin to cut back on crime and violence than the Mexican should set an example for more liberal laws towards narcotics and amphets. At least make them pay taxes as part of the income.
I lived in Brazil for a long time and it was just like that! People do it mostly for pleasure - they need to feel powerful! Killing a little child is no big deal! It is very sad.
Industrialize more for jobs and revolutionise agribusiness to fend off drugs monstrous growth.Poverty and crime
cling together.
Steven L. Johnson was beaten beyond recogntion and shot to death in Macon Georgia by a probation officer Roger Stembridge and Macon Police officers for an alleged positive marijuana test in handcuffs then thrown in the river and the murder was covered up from GA to the DOJ in Washington, DC. Numerous homeless people were murdered to cover-up this one murder, so, think about how many serial murders are committed by the SERIAL MURDERERS WITHIN the US!
Legalizing one drug and still having other drugs "illegal" isn't the answer at all! You all that posted "legalize drugs" have no idea. The correct answer is to hire MORE Police and give them better weapons, more ammo, better protective gear and better training to get the job done! That is sure to change things there in Mexico for the better.
Actually Reckless, the truth is quite the opposite of your statement. Look at the drug related crime statistics in countries where they are legalized, or at least decriminalized. Now look at what happens, historically, when you give law enforcement better arms, the criminal element gets even better weapons. Admittedly, I did enjoy your post however, as this may have been the first time I've ever been able to read a southern accent.
Utterly tragic. This situation is getting entirely out of hand. Even innocent Mexican civilians' lives are at risk when caught in the crossfire between these warring lunatics. It's also becoming so bad to the point of it actually deterring many potential tourists from visiting the country's numerous beautiful tourist destinations, which is a big negative, as tourism is one of the country's largest sources of revenue.
What if we were able to develop a way to negate the addictive effects of drug inside the human body, such as gene therapy or even genetic modification. If people could not become addicted to ANY drug the drug trade would dry up.
Americans living down in Mexico better think their priorities living like a king in Mexico and taking a chance on getting buried like a dog, or come back to their own country and give that money to our own tax base.
