Pelosi blocks Houston lawmaker's Michael Jackson resolution

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi shut the door Thursday to a resolution by a Houston lawmaker honoring Michael Jackson because debate on the symbolic measure could raise "contrary views" about the pop star's life. Lawmakers are free to use House speeches "to express their sympathy or their praise any time that they wish," said Pelosi, D-Calif. I finally agree with Pelosi on something. I hate to admit it. Mrs. black
woman needs to devote her time to more serious issues than this.

Enough of Michal Jackson, yes it was a tragedy of what happened but he was only a performer. Also since when do we have high praise for someone who may or may or maynot be a child molester. This all about race.Lawmakers who suggested this in congress are promoting racial tensions.

I certainlly agree with Pelosi. THis BLACK thing is getting well out of line. Michael Jackson was a superb entertainer but that does not spell resolution. The black people will not stop pushing their own for any little thing and Iam sick to death of it. Honor a soldier, who gives their life so you and I can keep our freedom. Michael Jackson is minute compared to this. THe man took little kids to bed with him. He was a very ill individual. He was a distortion, face and all. He does not deserve the kind of honor . He did drugs and little by little took his own life along with his doctors. He was no mentor for our teens or any young people. Wake up! Entertaing is one thing, Poor lifestyle is another.

Thank God there is a sane person blocking this resolution. Aresolution for somebody like Michael Jackson ! What is the world coming to. Yes he was a great entertainer, but his lifestyle was wacky. This sends a very bad message to our kids.
