Submitted: Jul 4, 2008 - A 17-year-old male from Duluth drowned Friday while swimming in Lake Lanier, Forsyth County sheriff's officials said. Rescuers from the Forsyth County Fire Department dive team recovered the teen's body shortly after 3 p.m., said sheriff's spokeswoman Karleen Chalker. Officials believed the drowning was the first this summer at the lake.
